Tea Towels for Christmas
Today's post is about tea towels - can making a tea towel count as sewing? After all, there are just two hems to sew. It's really more of a design project!
Tea towels make great little Christmas presents. You can give a personalised or (almost) unique tea towel for well under a tenner. What's not to like about that? Photos of the children, or some of their art work, for the grandparents, family favourite recipes for newly weds, photos of a favourite spot, a calendar tea towel to hang on the wall this year and use next year, puzzles or just a nice print (eg from our Market Place!)
Our blog post Design a Recipes Tea Towel shows you how to design a tea towel with favourite recipes. You can adapt the instructions for any sort of design. Just remember to make your canvas no bigger than 75cms x 50cms, which is the size of our tea towels. (Don't forget to allow for a hem at the sides.)
If you prefer to keep it simple, choose a design from our Market Place to print onto your tea towel. There are a few designs created specifically for tea towels, but many of the all-over designs look good. You could choose a Christmassy design or an all-year-round one.
